There is sliding friction. Therefore, when the static load and the operating temperature change is not large, the connection can be secured and not loosened.


In order to reduce or prevent the occurrence of accidents, it is more necessary to do a good job of inspection and tightening in the maintenance work of disassembly tongs. Common bolt tightening methods include friction tightening, mechanical equipment tightening and long-term tightening. Mechanical equipment tightening and friction tightening are called dismountable tightening, and long-term tightening is called non-dismountable tightening.

Friction tightening is the use of gaskets, lock nuts and double nuts. One side of the lock nut is made into a non-circular closed edge or is slitted and axially closed. When the nut is tightened, the closing edge expands, and the elasticity of the closing edge is used to clamp between the screwed external threads. This type of tightening structure is simple and reliable, and can be disassembled many times without reducing the tightening performance.

Mechanical equipment tightening methods use split pins, stop gaskets, and string galvanized steel wire ropes. The tightening method of mechanical equipment is more reliable.
